Letters from Harold J. Bradley, Jr. to his parents Mr. H. J. Bradley and Mrs. Ruth C. Bradley of Newark Valley, New York, in April to December of 1944. "Junior" was a pilot in training for the Army Air Force and was stationed in Greensboro, North Carolina, Huntington, West Virginia, and Foster Field, an advanced fighter pilot school near Victoria, Texas. Junior's letters detail the life of a young enlisted airman beginning training near the end of World War II. Topics include uniforms, military food, furloughs, WACS, activities on base and at the USO in Victoria, and concerns for his parent's welfare and upkeep of their dairy farm in his absence.
